We take our responsibility seriously.
Nutrition projects rooted in and designed for real-world practice, which change the ‘how’. Our initiatives and programmes create social value. Not-for-profit, impact-driven, practical. We develop projects that sustainably improve food systems. Without any moralising.
Our focus areas
Food systems
We play an active role in shaping the future.
We support towns and local authorities in raising the profile of food as part of local development. Through collaborative processes, we work together with local government and civil society to develop strategies, programmes and pilot projects. These contribute to integrated urban development, the promotion of sustainable lifestyles and climate action. We collect, develop and document new ideas and concepts to make food policy more accessible to more local authorities.
Urban development
Space, the City and Food
We carry out practice-oriented research projects on sustainable food systems, with a focus on urban development, climate and consumer behaviour. We publish our findings to provide stakeholders from the worlds of politics, academia and practice with a sound basis for decision-making. We ask not only what is possible, but also what is effective.
Community catering
Supporting and strengthening kitchens
In our projects, we advise communal catering establishments – from nurseries to industrial kitchens – on their journey towards sustainable food provision. We develop training programmes for kitchen staff, support change processes and promote a better understanding of the environmental, social and health impacts of catering systems.
